Presentation:

Cutaneous solution containing Minoxidil 50mg/ml (5% w/v).

Uses:

Treatment of alopecia androgenetica in men aged 18 to 65.

Dosage:

1ml twice daily to affected areas of scalp. Maximum dose 2ml in 24 hours.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to ingredients. Hypertension. Scalp abnormality. Shaved Scalp. Occlusive dressings on scalp or other topical medical preparations being used. Also contraindicated for use in women.

Precautions:

For external use only on normal healthy scalp. Wash hands thoroughly after application. Avoid inhalation of spray mist and contact with eyes or sensitive surfaces. Stop use and see doctor if hypotension or other cardiovascular symptoms of systemic absorption develops. Patients with cardiovascular disease or arrhythmia to contact physician before use. This product may cause dizziness or hypotension. If affected, patients should not drive or operate machinery. Contains 300 mg of ethanol in each 1 ml. It may cause burning sensation on damaged skin and in the eye. In the event of accidental contact with sensitive surfaces the area should be bathed with large amounts of cool tap water. Contains 500 mg of propylene glycol in each 1 ml, which may cause skin irritation. Avoid in open wounds or damaged skin.

Pregnancy and Lactation:

Should not be used.

Side effects:

Very common: headache.

Common: hypersensitivity reactions, chest pain, hypertrichosis, pruritus, rash, dermatitis, oedema peripheral and weight increase.

Uncommon: Dizziness, palpitation, dyspnea, and nausea

Not known: Angiodema, depressed mood, eye irritation, heart rate increased, hypotension, vomiting, dry skin, acne (acneiform rash), temporary hair loss, changes in hair colour and application site reactions.

How it works

              Wash your hands thoroughly before applying the REGAINE® for women solution

Ensure both the hair and scalp are completely dry before applying.

Choose one of the applicators and dispense a 1ml dose to the total affected area twice a  day.

Massage the solution lightly into the affected areas of the scalp 

Wash your hands thoroughly after applying the solution.

But it is important you keep applying your Regaine morning and night, like you would brush your teeth, so you can see results. For Regaine® for Women solution to work effectively, continued use daily is necessary. Exceeding the recommended dose will not regrow your hair any quicker and you will have an increased likelihood of getting side-effects.
